On 8 and 9 November 2017 the very first Liver Assist Academy was being held at the Organ Assist headquarters in Groningen (The Netherlands) with attendees from Brazil, England and Scotland.
During the meeting the attendees learned how to work with the Liver Assist (preparation, setup, cannulation, etc.). Besides the practical part the attendees were updated with the latest papers about the practical application of the Liver Assist (from hypothermic up to normothermic). The meeting was concluded with a visit to one of world’s first state-of-the-art Organ Preservation and Resucitation Unit at the University Medical Center Groningen.
The next Liver Academy is scheduled for 22 & 23 March 2018 (more information)
