Transplant Technicians Radboud UMC training course

A team of Transplant Technicians of the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen (NL) successfully passed their extensive training course on Organ Assist’s ECOPS procurement and Kidney Assist preservation system.

Radboud UMC aims to utilize the pool of uncontrolled deceased after cardiac death donors using Normothermic Regional Perfusion after cardiac arrest and subsequent positive family consent. Following procurement, the kidneys will be preserved by hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion to gain optimal quality of these otherwise sub-optimal donor organs.
